Questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on a computer. Phone browsers cannot record the screen, so there only the video file route works.
Is my recording uploaded?
No. Recording and conversion both happen inside this browser. Only step names leave the page, never what was on screen.
Does it record sound?
A GIF has no sound. Sound from your screen is not recorded either.
The GIF came out too big.
Size grows with length and width. Lower the width and the frames per second. Past 10 seconds a GIF grows by megabytes.
