Convert video and audio files in your browser, without uploading
한국어Extract the audio from a video, trim it, shrink it to a target size, make a GIF, change the container, or convert subtitles. Files never leave this browser.
No login, and the file is not sent anywhere. The first run downloads the conversion engine (31 MB) once; after that your browser keeps it.
What do you want to do
Pull the sound out of a video or recording as mp3, m4a or wav. No re-encoding of video, so it is fast.
What this tool cannot do, or does slowly
The limit per file is your device's memory. On a PC with 16 GB of RAM a 1.5 GB file worked and 2 GB did not. Phones have far less.
Shrinking and GIF making re-encode every frame, so they are slow: the engine runs on one core, and on this PC a 10-second 720p clip took 11.0 seconds to shrink to 480p. Expect roughly the length of the video, several times that on a slow device. A progress bar and a time estimate let you decide whether to wait.
Extracting audio, trimming and changing the container do not re-encode, so they are fast. Trimming cuts on keyframes, which can move the start a few seconds earlier.
Because nothing is uploaded there is no queue and no daily quota. The flip side is that very large files and heavy conversions are better served by an upload-based service. If the file is fine to upload, use one.
Read what works and what is slowCame from a phone
There are pages sized for a phone screen: what works there, and what to send to a PC instead.
